Underpinning brp architects long standing tradition of Primary Care Projects, we have been assisting a number of local practices in getting their premises upgrades over the line to secure their part of the widely reported £350m NHS’s Primary Care Infrastructure fund, which comes to a close in the next couple of months.

The NHS’s Primary Care Infrastructure fund is largely targeting capital projects that improve access to primary care services and allow for a greater range of services to be provided in the Primary Care environment. brp architects are responsible for managing three schemes in Leicestershire alone that are due to achieve practical completion before the end of the financial year and have further substantial schemes in Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire following on behind.
In addition, we have also been progressing multi-million pound design proposals for new Primary Care Facilities, as either stand-alone Primary Care Centres or integral elements of multi-faceted care across the country. These projects range from Tyne and Wear in the north to Herefordshire and Buckinghamshire in the south, and are gathering pace as the deadline for funding applications under the Primary Care Transformation Fund looms. This second wave of funding is to be used to support larger, more strategic premises development activity – i.e. practices’ relocating and / or merging together as well as the construction of new buildings.
These more distant projects are more than matched by an ever-increasing number of both new-build and refurbishment / extension healthcare projects throughout the Midlands across Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire and the West Midlands, with a further group of projects in Yorkshire.
